Privacy policy

This site presents my professional work. I only handle the data needed for that, in line with Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD).

Who is responsible

The site is maintained by Wesley Luiz Carvalho, who decides how data is handled (the controller under the LGPD). For anything about privacy, write to contato@wesleycarvalho.dev.

What data is handled and why

I only handle what is needed to keep the site running and to reply to people who contact me.

  • Usage measurement, only with your consent: with Google Analytics 4, through Google Tag Manager, I record pages visited, clicks on buttons and links, sections viewed, language, device type, approximate location (country and city) and traffic source. I use this to understand how the site is used and to improve it.
  • Contact: if you reach me by email or WhatsApp, I only use the data you send (such as name, email and message) to reply.
  • Preferences: your language and theme (light or dark) are stored in your browser so the site remembers your choice.

Cookies and browser storage

  • Essential (no consent needed): the NEXT_LOCALE cookie, which stores the language, and, in the browser local storage, the "theme" (theme) and "cookie-consent" (your cookie choice) items.
  • Analytics (only with consent): Google Analytics cookies, such as _ga and _ga_*, which anonymously identify a returning visit. They usually last up to 2 years.

Consent and how to change your mind

Usage measurement only starts after you click "Accept". If you click "Reject", analytics cookies are not stored and the site works normally.

Even if you reject, Google may receive signals without cookies and without personal identification (Google's Consent Mode), used for statistical estimates.

You can change your choice at any time in "Cookie preferences", in the site footer and at the end of this page.

Sharing and international transfer

Measurement data is processed by Google (Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager), whose servers may be outside Brazil. I do not sell personal data. The site is hosted on Hostinger.

Links to LinkedIn, GitHub, WhatsApp and project sites lead to third-party services, which have their own privacy policies.

How long data is kept

Measurement data is kept for the period configured in Google Analytics. Messages you send me are kept for as long as needed for the contact, and you can ask for deletion.

Your rights

Under the LGPD, you can ask for confirmation that I handle your data, access, correction, anonymization or deletion, information about sharing, and withdrawal of consent. Send your request to contato@wesleycarvalho.dev.
